A 360º View of Lake Mohawk, Sparta, NJ

Aside from being home to Lake Mohawk Country Club, the super cool place where my wife and I got married, Lake Mohawk is a place that Caity and I visit pretty often, either for the incredible homemade ice cream, the burgers at Krogh’s, or just to walk the boardwalk and take in the sunset over the water.

This week, we opted for the latter of those three, taking in the sunset over the beach, just off the boardwalk. So what better time of day to take a 360º photo?

(Got Google Cardboard? This is super fun to explore in VR!)

If you’re on your computer, you can click and drag around with your mouse to immerse yourself and explore the 360º photo! If you’re on your phone, you probably already figured out that moving around will show you different areas like you’re looking through my eyes!

Now due to the time of day, you’ll notice some wacky stitching in the photo, particularly on areas that touch the water. That’s because

  1. It’s water, so it moves!
  2. The sun was setting as I was taking all of the individual photos that it took to create this view, so the light was actively changing, making it more difficult to piece each photo together.

Is there a place that you’d like me to take a 360º photo? I’d love it if you’d let me know in the comments!
